Bernard O'Dowd AKA DJ Wizard- Disc Jockey/MC/Entertainer for all occasions specializing in Weddings, Corporate events and private functions. I have DJ’d over 3000 shows to date at a variety of venues and functions state wide.

DJ Career - In my late teens I started tinkering with electronics which led me to designing and manufacturing custom DJ consoles and lighting systems for mobile and pub/club installations. I built my first consoles from the ground up. All the electronics - mixers,lighting desks and speaker cabinets. Back in those days Vinyl was the only medium around. However, I did make a couple of mobile consoles for DJ's using cassette decks come to think of it!

 I started DJ'ing at the Yallourn Hotel (long since gone) 3 nights a week. Word soon got around that the  'Wizard' was in town and we use to pack the venue every performance. This led to a lot of competition springing up at neighboring pubs who thought they could pull the same crowd but other discos came and went and Wizard Disco's continued on at the same venue for 5 years. I have been a mobile DJ for over 25 years and have probably played every style and been through a lot of musical transitions. 

Music career - Started playing drums at the age of 5 semi professionally. At 15 years of age started playing guitar which became my favoured instrument. I was Initially self taught and went on to study Jazz guitar under the legendry Bruce Clarke, I honed my guitar skills even further becoming adept in many styles. My musical career spans more than 27 years playing in a variety of bands from Show bands. Rock bands.  18 piece swing orchestras to traditional Irish bands. I have made numerous radio and television appearances, and  produced and performed on 5 albums.
